Waugh, Frederick Judd

Waugh, Frederick Judd (1861–1940) painter; born in Bordentown, N.J. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, in Paris (1882–83), and worked in Europe as an illustrator (1892–1907). Returning to America, he lived in Connecticut (1915) and Provincetown, Mass. (1927), focusing on marine paintings.
