Weaver, James

Weaver, James (Baird) (1833–1912) U.S. representative; born in Dayton, Ohio. A brigadier general in the Union army and a district attorney, he was elected by the Greenback Party in Iowa to the U.S. House of Representatives (1879–81, 1885–89). He was the Populist Party's presidential candidate in 1892.
