Weaver, (Sylvester L.) Pat (1908– ) television executive; born in Los Angeles, Calif. (father of Sigourney Weaver). A radio writer and producer, he served as a Young and Rubicam advertising manager in the 1940s. Joining National Broadcasting Company in 1949, he became president (1953–55), later chairman, creating the Today and Tonight shows.
