Weinberg, John Livingston (1925– ) investment banker; born in New York City. He graduated from Princeton (1948), took a graduate degree at Harvard (1950), and joined Goldman, Sachs & Co., where his father was a senior partner. He himself rose to partner in 1956 and senior partner in 1976. Named senior chairman of the firm in 1990, he continued Goldman, Sachs's traditionally conservative policies.
