Location:In south central Massachusetts, off Route 49 north.
Facilities:60 campsites, showers, restrooms, swimming beach (for campers' use only), hiking trails, equestrian trails, boat ramp, scenic viewing areas.
Activities:Camping, boating (all types), canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting (with restrictions), cross-country skiing, interpretive programs (seasonal).
Special Features:Wells State Park is a woodland park with more than 10 miles of hiking trails. Old Sturbridge Village, a nationally-renowned living history museum of New England village life in and around 1800, is a 5-mile drive from the park.
