White Volta River

White Volta River

River, Burkina Faso and Ghana, western Africa. It rises in Burkina Faso (where it is known as the Nakambé) and flows southwest for about 400 mi (640 km) to empty into Lake Volta in Ghana. It is a headstream of the Volta River.
