(2) Unused electromagnetic spectrum between analog TV channels. Originally set up as protection bands to eliminate interference between channels, these frequencies are planned for wireless data services, dubbed "Super Wi-Fi." Wireless microphones used in theaters and other venues have traditionally employed some of these frequencies. See 802.22.
