Whitefish Dunes State Park Location: 10 miles northeast of Sturgeon Bay on Clark Lake Road. Facilities: Picnic area (é), hiking trails (15 miles), bicycle trail, nature trail (1 mile, @di), ski trails (8 miles), beach (é), concessions, nature center, scenic vistas. Activities: Fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, naturalist programs (seasonal). Special Features: Park offers an unusual combination of natural features, including the rugged Lake Michigan shoreline, a dense upland forest, shoreline on an interior lake, a winding creek with associated wetlands, and the highest sand dunes in Wisconsin.
