Location: On State Highway 13, north of junction with U.S. Highway 2, in northern Wisconsin. Activities: Fishing, waterfowl hunting, wildlife observation. Special Features: Currently in acquisition stages, the refuge is part of a large wetland complex on Lake Superior. Habitats: Some 540 acres, to include spring-fed streams, coastal wetlands, sedge meadows, lowland hardwood swamps, black spruce swamps, and abandoned agricultural fields.
