A wireless/wired connection. Many computer and A/V devices come with both a wireless (Wi-Fi) and wired Ethernet capability for connecting to a local network. Ethernet is the standard for wired networks, and Wi-Fi is the wireless version of Ethernet. See Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
