Wickenden, William Elgin (1882–1947) electrical engineer, educator; born in Toledo, Ohio. He taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1909–18). From 1918–24 he held various personnel positions at Bell Telephone and American Telephone & Telegraph Co. From 1924 to 1929 he studied methods of engineering education and was president of Case School of Applied Science from 1929 to his retirement in 1941. How to thank TFD for its existence?
