Wickenden, William Elgin

Wickenden, William Elgin (1882–1947) electrical engineer, educator; born in Toledo, Ohio. He taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1909–18). From 1918–24 he held various personnel positions at Bell Telephone and American Telephone & Telegraph Co. From 1924 to 1929 he studied methods of engineering education and was president of Case School of Applied Science from 1929 to his retirement in 1941.
