AT&T has deployed a wide-area network (WAN) that provides an integrated communications platform serving more than 300 G-P locations across the United States. Installing firewall - computers that filter the communication between private networks and the Internet - will protect an office practice's local area network and a hospital or health care system's wide-area network from unwanted hackers. To take full advantage of these applications, organizations are adopting Time Warner Cable's carrier-class Ethernet services which enable them to extend their LAN environment across the wide-area network. |
