| The term wiki was introduced in 1995 (as in WikiWikiWeb, a take-off on the World Wide Web), but like weblog has only gained wider use and acceptance recently. To accomplish this, the site uses WikiWikiWeb technology (developed by Ward Cunningham), which allows for fully editable Web pages to be created and posted in real time on the Web. |
