Williams, Robert Ray

Williams, Robert Ray (1918–  ) aviator; born in Evanston, Wyo. A West Point graduate, he organized the first Army Aviation Unit in 1946, as the Army Air Force prepared to become the independent U.S. Air Force. He commanded the Army Aviation Center (1962–63) and advised South Vietnamese forces (1966–67).
