Win Device Manager

In Windows, Device Manager shows the status of all the peripheral devices connected to your computer. To display it, do the following:

Windows Vista
1. Start menu/Control Panel
2. Click Hardware and Sound/Device Manager
or
2. if in Classic View, Click Device Manager

Windows XP
1. Start menu/Control Panel/System
2. Click Hardware tab.
3. Click Device Manager.

Windows 95/98
1. Start menu/Settings/Control Panel/System
2. Click Device Manager tab.

Windows 2000
1. Start menu/Settings/Control Panel/System
2. Click Hardware tab.
3. Click Device Manager.

Device Manager
Device Manager displays all the components of the computer system. Right clicking a device in the list and clicking Properties displays the details.
