Win Network Neighborhood
Network Neighborhood shows remote resources in Windows 95, 98 and NT 4. In all other versions of Windows, it is called My Network Places. The icon name can be changed by right clicking it and selecting Rename. See Win My Computer.

| Explorer also shows Network Neighborhood or My Network Places when you scroll down the left window pane near the bottom. Note that all the machines are under the same workgroup, entitled simply "Workgroup," because the default name was left intact. The TAI machine is highlighted in this example, and its sharable resources are shown on the right. The C folder is the share name for the C: hard disk, and HP4000LOCAL is the share name for the LaserJet printer. |
