Expected no earlier than 2010 and formerly code named "Blackcomb" and "Vienna," Windows 7 is planned to be more user friendly, focusing on how a user works rather than on applications. With the server version offered in 64 bits only, Windows 7 is expected to run applications in a sandbox that restricts access to files and external resources for greater security.
