Media Center TV Pack

An upgrade to Vista versions of Media Center. Introduced in 2008 for OEM versions of Vista that shipped pre-installed on computers, the TV Pack added support for Japanese and European digital TV standards, including ISDB and DVB. It also replaced the DVR recording format from DVR-MS to WTV.

WTV (Windows Recorded TV Show), a proprietary video and audio file container format developed by Microsoft, is used in Windows Vista starting with Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008, and all Windows Media Center editions of Windows 7.
In addition, support for the international broadcast TV standards that was released with the Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008 will also be included in Windows Media Center in Windows 7.
