ReadyBoost

A function that was introduced in Windows Vista that allows USB drives to be used as auxiliary memory. It is used in conjunction with the SuperFetch technology that preloads files in anticipation of the user's requirements. See ReadyDrive.

SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK), a supplier of flash data storage card products, has said that it will offer support for the Windows ReadyBoost feature of Microsoft's new Windows Vista operating system.
