Special Features: The Woodland Opera House is the last of the once-numerous opera houses of California's early small towns. Before it closed in 1913, it was a stopping place for more than 300 touring companies. The opera house became a state historic park in 1976, and since then its interior has been restored to the grandeur it enjoyed at the turn of the century. Live entertainment is offered there on a year-round basis.
