Woods, Leonard, 1774–1854, American Congregational theologian, b. Princeton, Mass. He was prominent in upholding orthodox Calvinistic views in the controversy over Unitarianism as presented by William Ellery Channing, Henry Ware Henry Ware, 1794–1843, b. Hingham, Mass., grad. Harvard, 1812, was pastor (1817–30) of the Second Unitarian Church, Boston, and was professor in the Harvard divinity school until 1842. ..... Click the link for more information. , and others.
