Wye Oak State Park

Location: On State Route 662 in the community of Wye Mills in Talbot County.
Facilities: Limited picnic facilities (é).
Special Features: Park was established primarily to protect the Wye Oak Tree, estimated to be over 450 years old, which toppled in June 2002. A structure dating to colonial times that was used as a one-room school house exists near the tree site.

In response to the incident, Stoffel dropped that company name and adopted a new corporate name, Wye Oak Technology, using the same small staff (usually fewer than five employees) and doing the same kind of work.
