Xscale
A line of RISC-based CPUs from Intel based on the StrongARM architecture. Designed for PDAs, mobile phones and other portable devices, Xscale processors use less power because they run at considerably lower speeds than desktop CPUs. Xscale chips range from 133 MHz to 400 MHz compared to 2 GHz and higher for chips used in desktops. See StrongARM and ARM chips.
