Ya'an (yä-än), city (1994 est. pop. 110,000), SW Sichuan prov., China, on a tributary of the Min River. It is a tea center for W Sichuan and a highway hub for the E Tibetan plateau. Zhongzhu is already the owner of Ya'an Paper (Sichuan), Liujiang Paper (Guangxi), Jilin Paper Manufacture (a part of the former Jilin Paper), Shaowu Paper (Fujian), and Yichun Paper (Jiangxi). 1 well on the Ya'an Block in Sichuan Province, China has been drilled through the primary objective T3X2 formation to a total depth of 3132 meters.
