Yatesville Lake State Park Location: From Louisa, west on KY 3 for 3 miles. (Note: Marina and campgrounds/golf course are about 15 miles apart.) Facilities: 27 campsites with full hookups, 20 primitive sites (4 hike-in and 16 boat-in), 18-hole, par-71 golf course, miniature golf course, picnic pavilion with 2 shelters, playground area, hiking trails, multi-use trail (20+ miles), marina, 2 boat ramps, swimming beach, restrooms and showers, snack bar. Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking; backpacking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, as well as hiking, on park's multi-use trail. Special Features: Yatesville Lake, an impoundment of the Big Sandy River, is the largest lake in eastern Kentucky and offers excellent bluegill crappie, and bass fishing.
