Ershov 

a city (until 1963, a settlement), the administrative center of the Ershov Raion, Saratov Oblast, RSFSR. Ershov is located in the upper reaches of the Malyi Uzen’ River. Ershov is the site of a railway junction of lines to Saratov, Ural’sk, and Pugachev. The city has a population of 22,000 (1970). The food industry is represented in Ershov by milk, milling, and poultry combines and other enterprises.
