Yonago 

a city in Japan, in west Honshu Island, in TottoriPrefecture. Population, 109, 000 (1970). Railroad junction; portfor shallow draft vessels on the Nakanoumi lagoon. Its industriesinclude agricultural machine building, shipbuilding, metallurgy, and other branches of metalworking. Yonago is also the site offood-flavoring and textile (based on the local production of rawsilk) industries. There are sulfur mines.
