Zeisler, Claire (1903–91) weaver; born in Cincinnati, Ohio. She studied at Columbia University, Chicago's Institute of Design, and with Alexander Archipenko and Moholy-Nagy in the 1940s. She was among the first to introduce multiple off-loom techniques to make free-standing sculptural fiber forms; she was also noted for her large three-dimensional hangings.
