Zorich, A
(pseudonym of Vasilii Timofeevich Lokot’). Born 1899 in Borzna, in what is now Chernigov Oblast; died in 1937. Soviet Russian writer, one of the first Soviet topical satirists. Zorich worked for Pravda and, later, Izvestiia. An important place in his work is occupied by stories of revolutionary heroes that are permeated by romantic enthusiasm. Zorich traveled a great deal throughout the country and published travel sketches. The films Don Diego and Pelageia and The Girl Hastens to a Tryst were based on his scenarios. WORKSIzbr. rasskazy.
