Zudov, Viacheslav Dmitrievich
Born Jan. 8, 1942, in Bor, Gorky Oblast. Pilot-cosmonaut of the USSR; colonel. Hero of the Soviet Union (1976). Member of the CPSU since 1963. After graduating from the Balashov Higher Military Aviation School for Pilots in 1963, Zudov served in the air force. He was named a cosmonaut in 1965. From Oct. 14 to Oct. 16, 1976, flying with V. I. Rozhdestvenskii, he was commander of the Soyuz 23 spacecraft. The flight time was 2 days 6 min. Zudov has been awarded the Order of Lenin and various medals. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
