Zunyi

Zunyi or Tsunyi (both: dzn`yē`), town (1994 est. pop. 295,200), N Guizhou prov., SW China. It is on the main highway to Sichuan and is the commercial and agricultural distribution center of N Guizhou. Iron and manganese ore are mined, food is processed, and textiles (cotton and silk), chemicals, and machine tools are manufactured.

According to Kampen, the sources prove there was no sudden takeover of the Party by the 28 Bolsheviks in 1931; Mao did not assume the leadership at Zunyi in 1935; Moscow retained its influence in the Party throughout the 1930s and helped to engineer the strengthening of Mao's position at the Sixth Plenum in 1938; and Mao did not become Party leader until 1943.
All of the completed housing units have been purchased but the slow rate at which the new owners are moving in poses a challenge to the company with regard to expanding its LPG operations in the Zunyi community.
