480 Hz

480 Hz

The frame rate of certain flat panel TVs. Panasonic introduced 480 Hz plasma sets in 2008, and LG demonstrated its 480 Hz LCD TV in early 2009. The technology is based on the same concepts as 120 Hz, except that there are more frames created in between the actual frames. See 120 Hz.
