802.3bp

802.3bp

An IEEE Ethernet standard for in-vehicle communications and industrial sensors. Ratified in 2018, the 1000Base-T1 specification from the 802.3bp committee provides Gigabit Ethernet transmission over unshielded twisted pair cables. The high-speed 1000Base-T1 is designed to co-exist with lower-speed 100Base-T1 (100 Mbps) systems throughout the vehicle. See automotive Ethernet and single pair Ethernet.
