A/V

(1) See antivirus and augmented virtuality.

(2) (AV) (Autonomous Vehicle/Automated Vehicle) See self-driving car and automotive safety systems.

(3) (Audio/Video) Originally meaning "audio/visual," A/V refers to equipment and applications that deal with sound and sight. The A/V world includes microphones, tape, disk and solid state recorders, audio mixers, still and video cameras, film projectors, data projectors, slide projectors, VCRs, CD/DVD/Blu-ray players/recorders, amplifiers and speakers.
