We evaluated the linearity of the CM-CRDS method by plotting the measured [sup.12]C[O.sub.2] concentration against the carbon content (0.15-1.07 mg C) of
acetanilide standard (Figure 2).
Aspirin, oxalyl chloride, potassium thiocyanate, 2,3-dimethylaniline, 2,4-dimethylaniline, 2,5-dimethylaniline, 2,6-dimethylaniline, 2-toluidine, 2,5-dimethoxyaniline, 3,4-dimethoxyaniline, 3,5-dimethoxyaniline, 4-hydroxyl
acetanilide, and 1-bromoalkanes were obtained from Merck.
On stipulated day the animals were slaughtered, their livers taken out and microsomes prepared for the estimation of activities of various membrane bound DME such as cytochrome P450 (CP), cytochrome b5 (CB), cytochrome-c-reductase (CCR), aniline hydroxylase (AH),
acetanilide hydroxylase (AAH), benzphetamine demethylase (BD), aminopyrine demethylase (APD), N.N.
Encouraged by the results we under took a study of chemoselective reduction of 4-nitro benzaldehyde, nonomethyl hydrogen phthalate, 4-carbomethoxy
acetanilide and imine esters with DMNAB.
In 1947, David Lester and Leon Greenberg discovered that paracetamol (acetaminophen) was a major, active metabolite of
acetanilide (Antifebrine) (4).
In 1996, the RLG group integrated its facilities backward to start production of
acetanilide, which is used in the production of vinyl sulphone.
Acetanilide oxidation in phenylbutazone-associated hypoplastic anaemia.
All three herbicides have similar soil sorption intensity, but compared to atrazine, the
acetanilide herbicides are more water soluble, degrade more rapidly in soils, and are more volatile (Vencill, 2002).

The agency itself was established by Congress in 1906 after a wave of adulterated or dangerous drugs was exposed in the press, including a "headache powder" containing
acetanilide that caused heart attacks.
