Born 1867 in Nishapur; died 1926 in Meshed. Iranian poet and scholar. Teacher of the poet Behar.
Adib Nishaburi was born into a peasant family and received his education in Nishapur. In 1880 he moved to Meshed, where to the end of his life he taught literature, Arabic, and theology. He was the author of commentaries on theological treatises and works on comparative Arab-Persian poetics. He wrote poetry in the spirit of the early Iranian classics.
