Adler, Stephen L.

Adler, Stephen L. (Louis)

(1939–  ) physicist; born in New York City. He was a fellow at Harvard (1964–66), taught theoretical physics at Princeton (1966–79), then became Albert Einstein Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, N.J., (1979). He has made major contributions to quantum field theory and effective action models for quark confinement.
