Note the presence of infiltratory cells along the aortic wall (arrow) and deposition of perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) in the tunica
adventitia of (b) OVX.
[65] found expression of CD271 on cells in the vasa vasorum of the venous
adventitia and in a limited population of cells in the
adventitia of small vessels in AT.
However, the outcomes of catheter-based RDN are still uncertain, because the afferent and efferent nerves are mainly distributed in the
adventitia of the renal artery [8, 9].
The temporal artery biopsy (TAB) revealed dense mixed inflammatory infiltrate consisting predominantly of lymphocytes and histiocytes involving the tunica
adventitia, and the media with an extension into the intima and near complete destruction of external elastic lamina and focal disruption of internal elastic lamina (Figure 2).
The muscularis mucosae and tunica
adventitia were sutured in second layer, with knots placed outside. This was followed by subcutaneous and skin sutures following standard protocols.
Microscopically, the caudal vena cava had focally extensive, necrosuppurative, chronic-active phlebitis in the intima and
adventitia (Figure 1C).
Between PLLA fibers, mainly from the
adventitia side, fibroblast nuclei were found; thin collagen fibers started to appear.
