Agassiz trawl

(oceanography)
A dredge consisting of a net attached to an iron frame with a hoop at each end that is used to collect organisms, particularly invertebrates, living on the ocean bottom.

sulcata, were collected in the mouth of Gullmarsfjord, off Gaso island (58[degrees]14.19'E 11[degrees]26.36'N) in 2001, using an Agassiz trawl, and taken to Kristineberg Marine Research Station, Fiskerbackskil, Sweden where all experiments were carried out.
