Akbaital
a mountain pass in the East Pamirs in the Tadzhik SSR.
Akbaital rises to a height of 4,655 m. A cofferdam is located in the divide between the Sarykol’skii and Muzkol mountain ranges and separates the headwaters of the Muzkol River (in the Karakul’ Lake basin) from the headwaters of Iuzhnyi Akbaital Lake (in the Oksu-Murgab basin). The Osh-Khorog highway passes through the Akbaital pass.
