Aksakovo

 

an urban-type settlement in Bashkir ASSR and railroad station on the Ufa-Kuibyshev line. The population was 5,000 in 1969. A koumiss-cure resort. The S. T. Aksakov Pulmonary Tuberculosis Sanatorium here is open year-round. The family estate of the Aksakovs, Kuroedovo, was located in Aksakovo.
