AlIen, Rex Whitaker
(1915–2008)A leader in healthcare architecture, and one of the first to advocate for and design residential-style nursing homes and specialized facilities, such as those for Alzheimer’s patients. He was the author of one of the first books on healthcare facility design, Hospital Planning Handbook, and many journal and magazine articles.
