Nucleating agent is added to the suspension or the solution in a non-polar hydrocarbon solvent, or in concentrated organoaluminum, as part of the catalyst system for alpha-olefin polymerization.
Its Q Chem/Q Chem II segment recorded revenue of QR3.5bn during 2014, despite a drop in alpha-olefin sales volume and prices.
Specifically, the first propylene-based elastomer comprises at least 7% by weight ethylene or non-propylene alpha-olefin units, the second propylene-based elastomer comprises less than 7% by weight ethylene or non-propylene alpha-olefin units, the first and second propylene-based elastomers each have a heat of fusion less than 80 J/g, and the propylene-based thermoplastic polymer has a heat of fusion greater than 80 J/g.
It has processing and shrink properties approaching LDPE, with the mechanical properties of higher alpha-olefin materials of similar density.
Here, PP homopolymer is produced in a bulk reactor and, in a second stage, a polypropylene-ethylene/ alpha-olefin copolymer is produced in a gas-phase reactor mixed with the homopolymer.
The multimodal polymer composition has an overall Mooney viscosity of less than 90 ML (1+4 @ 125[degrees]C), and each polymer fraction comprises an ethylene, [C.sub.3]-[C.sub.10] alpha-olefin, non-conjugated diene polymer, wherein the first polymer fraction has a Mooney viscosity of greater than or equal to about 150 ML (1+4 @ 125[degrees]C), the second polymer fraction has a Mooney viscosity from about 20 to about 120 ML (1+4 @ 125[degrees]C).
A 100 t/d plant could achieve about 20% ROI even if the conversion to alpha-olefin drops to 40% or if the capital cost is three times the estimated value.
Both components are prepared by polymerization of ethylene with a C3-20 alpha-olefin in the presence of a single site catalyst.
The company mainly manufactures those anionic surfactants such as alkyl sulfates, alkylether sulfates and Alpha-Olefin sulfonates as the raw material of personal care and household products.
Produces nylon resins, alpha-olefin copolymers, HMW-HDPE, TPOs, and biodegradable polylactic acid polymer.
