Anderson, Don Lynn

Anderson, Don Lynn

(1933–  ) geophysicist, seismologist; born in Frederick, Md. He received his Ph.D. in geophysics and mathematics from the California Institute of Technology in 1962, and was named director of its Seismology Laboratory in 1967. He was the editor of the periodical Physics of the Earth and Planetary Interiors; his research focused on both theoretical seismology and the structure and composition of the earth and planets.
