Andersson, Ingvar

 

Born Mar. 19, 1889. Swedish historian and medievalist; head curator of the Swedish archives (Riksarkivarius); member of the Swedish Academy (literature section ) since 1950.

From 1928 to 1952, Andersson taught history at the University of Lund. From 1939 to 1946 he worked in Swedish radio. In 1947 he began to publish Nordic Journal for Science, Art, and Industry. Since 1953 he has been vice-president of the International Council of Archives.
