The Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS) has had important collaborations with ICOT and PARC, especially on AKL (the Andorra Kernel Language) [8] which is a promising attempt to achieve the initial goal of Concurrent Prolog: the addition of programmer-controlled concurrency to Prolog without the sacrifice of any of its power.
