(1925–27), a collaborative organ of Soviet and British trade unions, created on the initiative of Soviet trade unions at an Anglo-Soviet trade union conference in London in April 1925.
The committee set its goals to achieve unity in the international trade union movement through joint efforts; to wage a struggle against the preparation for war; and to intensify the struggle against capital’s offensive against the working class. In September 1927, in connection with England’s rupture of relations with the USSR, the right-wing leaders of the General Council of the Trade Union Congress had the Anglo-Russian Unity Committee liquidated.
