Anipemza

 

an urban-type settlement in Ani Raion, Armenian SSR, on the Akhurian River (a left-hand tributary of the Araks River), 7 km south of the Ani railroad station. Population, 800 (1968). There is a construction materials combine processing pumice, tuff, and andesite. The Yereruk Basilica, a monument of fifth-century Armenian architecture, is near Anipemza.
