Archbald Pothole State Park

Location:9 miles north of Scranton, off I-81, in northeast Pennsylvania.
Facilities:Hiking trail.
Activities:Hiking, hunting.
Special Features:Park contains what is believed to be the world's largest glacial pothole--38 feet deep and 42 feet across--which formed during the Wisconsin Ice Age more than 15,000 years ago. It has a volume of 18,600 cubic feet, so could hold about 140,000 gallons.
