Argazi Reservoir

 

a reservoir constructed in 1946 on the Miass River (the Tobol basin) in Cheliabinsk Oblast, RSFSR. Lake Argazi is part of the reservoir.

The area of the reservoir is 102 sq km, its volume is 0.65 cu km, its length is 11 km, and its average depth is 6.5 m. The level of the reservoir fluctuates about 6 m. Argazi Reservoir provides the long-term regulation of drainage. It is used for water supply and energy, and also for fishing (perch, ide, pike, and whitefish).
